Power interface card

Removing the power interface card from the 9080-M9S system control unit
To remove the power interface card, complete the steps in this procedure.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. Unplug the UPIC cable from the power interface card that you are servicing, or skip to step "3" on page
500 if you chose to complete this repair with the power off.
Note: If you chose to disconnect power for this procedure, you already removed both UPIC cables.
The following images show both UPIC cables being unplugged so that you are aware of the location for
each cable. However, if you chose to complete this repair with the power on, you will only need to
unplug the cable from the power interface card that you are servicing.
a) Remove the white plastic lock (A) from the plug housing as shown in the following figure.

b) Push down on the blue cable latch (B) and pull out the UPIC cable from the system control unit, as
shown in the following figure.
