Checking the Settings of a Job in the GUI

Perform the following procedure before starting any new print job.
Procedure: How to Check the Settings of a Job in the GUI
- Step 1: Navigate to the Main Tab and check if media thickness is corresponding with the value
media pane and eventually modify this setting in the GUI or in Asanti. In The Quality tab you can change the
passes and masking if needed.
- Step 2: Navigate to the General Tab and check the Head Gap
The theoretical distance between the media surface and the print head should be set to 1.3 mm.
Note: Depending on the media properties you may need to adjust this head gap. Specifically, in order
to prevent a collision you can increase the head gap when printing on heat sensitive substrates or
non-flat media. An increase in head gap can reduce overall image quality and can cause side effects
as mist or spray in unprinted areas.
- Step 3: Navigate to the General Tab and check the UV light intensity and UV critical window
in green in Fig.5-12)
and reduce the UV light intensity and the UV critical window (curing over the full media, or only over
the print area or over the full table width). This option influences the productivity.
