Air ionizing devices located on each side of the carriage. Electro static forces
would deflect the ink droplets and affect printing quality.
The carriage is the up and down moving part on the shuttle.
It accommodates 8 color bars.
A color bar is a group of 4 print heads
In color reproduction, the gamut of a device is the full range of colors it can
reproduce
The hood is the set of dark grey panels and covers located above the drive
belt plane. It protects the user from the shuttle movement and from the UV
lights.
It precisely drives the media along the slow scan axis, from the rear to the
front of the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED. Vacuum holds the media on the belt.
The roller bars keep the media pressed flat on the drive belt. The bars have 2
positions, up and down, under the user control.
A print head is a group of 4 rows of 320 ink nozzles.
The RFID tag reader registers and checks if the correct ink is used. It is
located in the rear ink cabinet.
The front media set bar is used to position the media square on the drive
belt before printing. After media positioning, the front media set bar lifts up
and allows the media to travel inward.
The shuttle travels right to left and left to right along the fast scan axis.
The drip tray collects the ink from the carriage during a purge sequence. It
also prevents shuttle pass access from the operator maintenance cabinet.
The drip tray is mounted on a slider and has a home position sensor.
The waste tank collects the ink from the drip tray.
