Ink and Solvent Storage
• Agfa Graphics recommends storing all chemicals, lubricants and solvent in a chemical safety cabinet
at least 3 meters (10 feet) away from the machine.
• Agfa Graphics promotes the use of local laws and regulations to handle store and dispose of
chemicals, lubricants and solvents.
• Keep inks and solvents away from oxidizing agents and strongly alkaline or acidic materials.
Ink and Solvent Fire Safety
To extinguish a flame resulting from the combustion of the inks or solvent, use a CO2, foam or powder
fire extinguisher.
• Do NOT use water or direct water stream from a hose.
• Do NOT smoke around the inks and solvent.
UV Curing System Safety
The UV curing system emits intense UV radiation during the digital printing process that can damage
skin and eyes.
Production
Never operate the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED without all covers and doors installed and closed in order to
shield the operator from UV radiation and shuttle movement.
Do not use the UV curing system unless the system is complete and with all the safety mechanisms
fully operational. Keep panel interlocks operational at all times.
Operate the UV system only when the exhaust system is in operation.
Maintenance
Whenever the Customer service responsible or the service engineer is performing maintenance tasks
with open operator access door and the UV system turned ON, all the persons within viewing distance
of the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED should wear darkened safety glasses with UV protection.
Therefore, make a sufficient number of UV protection glasses available at all times.
UV glasses are shielding from UV radiation but not from the high light intensity, even when wearing UV
protection glasses, the user should avoid looking directly at the UV light source when in operation.
Be cautious with the UV system at all times.
