Procedure Steps
Open Configuration/Service Software (CSS).

Connect to the device through an Ethernet port link and then read the configuration file from the device. See
4.4.4 Connecting Through an Ethernet Port Link, page

Select File → Read Configuration from Device from the menu.

Select Configuration from the navigation tree in the left pane.
Select the Receive Multicoupler (RMC) Configuration tab.

In the GTR 8000 Configuration field, select GTR 8000 Base Radio Standalone.
Enter a dB value in the System Gain field.

Save your RMC configuration to an archive on your local or network drive by selecting File → Save or
File → Save As from the menu.

Write the configuration data to the base radio by selecting File → Write Configuration to Device from the
menu.
Step result: The resulting system gain is automatically used by the RMCs. In addition, an appropriate
transceiver attenuation is automatically calculated and saved in the configuration file.

When and where to use:
This process provides the procedures for configuring centralized authentication on devices using the VoyenceControl
component of Motorola's Unified Network Configurator (UNC) application.
This does not apply for a K1/K2 or non-networked site.
