9. OTHER SETTINGS
[3 Bearing Scale]: The bearing scale is the concentric solid cir-
cle at the edge of the display, and provides an estimate of the
bearing to a target. The scale can be turned OFF or ON and its
degree of detail can be selected to [Coarse] or [Fine]. The
[Coarse] setting provides a scale graduation every 10 degrees,
with no numerical degree indication. The [Fine] setting provides
a scale graduation every 1 degree, with numerical degree indi-
cation every 10 degrees.
[4 Plot Own Ship Track]: Traces ship's movement with a solid line. When the capac-
ity of the track memory is exceeded, the earliest track is automatically erased to trace
new track. Requires speed and course data.
[5 Data On Track]: Shows depth or water tem-
perature on the ship's track. Water temperature
sensor required to show water temperature.
[6 Net Move Plot]: Shows predicted
net movement against three current
layers over time, and requires the
current (tide) data. The plot is auto-
matically turned on or off with the net
shoot mark. The method for display-
ing the net shoot plot depends on the
setting of [3 Net Plot CORR-Layer1]
through [7 Net Plot CORR-Layer5]
on the [Net Shoot Setting] menu (see
section 9.2.8).
[7 Fish Mark Connect]: You may connect fish marks
with a line to show the order in which they were en-
tered.
[8 Target Vector]: This is a line extending
from the target lock mark, and it shows
speed and direction of tracked school of
fish. See the illustration at right for appear-
ance.
[9 Fish Track Plot]: Traces target move-
ment when the target lock is active. Re-
quires speed and course data.
