TROUBLES AND ACTIONS
PHENOMENA AND ACTIONS FOR CHASSIS
Contact your Komatsu distributor for the remedies indicated with (*) in the remedy column.
Ask your Komatsu distributor for repairs for problems or causes which are not listed below.
Problem
Machine does not stop even if the de-
celerator/brake pedal is depressed.
Track shoe comes off.
Abnormal wear of sprocket
Blade rises slowly or do not rise.
When machine is steered, it does not
turn.
Abnormal noise is heard from idler.
Lack of traction force (Travel speed is
low.)
Acceleration of travel speed is low.
Even if the joystick (steering, direc-
tional and gear shift lever) is operat-
ed, machine does not move off.
Only one side of track shoe moves.
Machine deviates without steering
operation.

Main causes
Incorrect adjustment of decelerator/
brake pedal sensor and switch
Track tension is too loose.
Track shoe is too low, or too high.
Lack of hydraulic oil
Work equipment lock lever is in
LOCK position.
Parking brake lever is in LOCK posi-
tion.
Defective lever wiring
Lack of idler oil
Lack of engine power
Hydraulic oil temperature is low.
Parking lever is in LOCK position.
Charge pump is worn or scuffed.
Brake release solenoid does not op-
erate.
Defective joystick (steering, direction-
al and gear shift lever)
Fan is set in reverse mode.
Turbo protect function in operation
Defective HST pump.
Defective electrical system.
Defective joystick (steering, direction-
al and gear shift lever)
Defective HST pump and motor
Defective motor speed sensor
Hydraulic oil temperature is low.
Air is mixed in hydraulic circuit.
Remedy
Adjust, check, repair. (*)
Adjust the track tension. See WHEN
REQUIRED.
Adjust track tension. See WHEN RE-

Add oil to the specified level. See
