Piston - Suzuki DR-Z70 Service Manual

• Face the stamped mark upward when assembling.
• Position the gaps of the three rings as shown.
NOTE:
Before inserting piston into the cylinder, check that the gaps are
so located.

PISTON

• Apply a small quantity of MOLYBDENUM OIL SOLUTION
onto the piston pin.
MOLYBDENUM OIL SOLUTION
NOTE:
Install the piston with the mark A on the piston head facing
towards the exhaust side.
• Place a clean rag over the cylinder base to prevent the piston
pin circlip from dropping into the crankcase.
• Install the circlip 1 .
NOTE:
The circlip end gap should not be aligned with the piston pin
bore cutaway.
The removed circlip must be replaced with a new one.
