Inspection - Suzuki DR-Z70 Service Manual

• Remove the outer racer 8 .
• Remove the upper and lower bearings 9 .

INSPECTION

Inspect the removed parts for the following abnormalities.
* Handlebars distortion
* Race wear and brinelling
* Bearing wear or damage
* Distortion of the steering stem
If any abnormal condition are found, replace defective parts with
new ones.
• Remove the lower outer race using a chisel.
The removed outer race must be replaced with a new
one.
• Drive out the upper and lower inner races using a suitable
bar.
The removed inner race must be replaced with a new
one.
