• Install the valve spring with the small-pitch portion A facing
cylinder head bottom.
• Be sure that the rounded lip E of the cotter fits snugly into the
groove D in the stem end.
• Install the other valve and spring in the same manner as
described previously.

* Be sure to restore each spring and valve to their
original positions.
* Be careful not to damage the valve and valve stem
when handling it.
NOTE:
Just before installing the camshaft into the cylinder head, apply
engine oil to the cam faces and inner rase of bearings.
• Install the intake and exhaust rocker arms 5 .
