Possible cause:
The ABS Pro control unit has
detected a fault. The ABS Pro
function is not available. The
ABS function remains available.
ABS only supports braking in
straight-ahead riding.
It remains possible to continue
riding. Observe additional in-
formation on special situations
which can lead to an ABS Pro
fault message (
147).
Have the malfunction corrected
as soon as possible at an
authorized service facility,
preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad Retailer.
ASC intervention
without riding modes Pro
ASC indicator and warning
light flashes rapidly.
ASC has detected instability at
the rear wheel and responded by
reducing the torque. The warn-
ing light flashes longer than the
ASC intervention lasts. This fea-
ture continues to furnish the rider
with visual feedback confirm-
ing that the system has initiated
active closed-loop intervention
even after the critical situation
has passed.
ASC self-diagnosis not
completed
without riding modes Pro
ASC indicator and warning
light flashes slowly.
OE
Possible cause:
ASC self-diagnosis rou-
tine not completed
ASC is not available because
the self-diagnosis routine was
not completed. (The motor-
cycle must reach a specified
minimum speed before the
system can check operation of
the wheel sensors: min 3 mph
OE
(min 5 km/h))
Ride off slowly. The ASC indi-
cator and warning light must go
out after several meters.
If the ASC indicator and warning
light continues to flash:
Contact an authorized work-
shop, preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad retailer.
ASC switched off
ASC indicator and warning
light lights up.
