NOTICE
The red engine speed range
102
changes depending on the oil
temperature:
The colder the engine, the lower
the speed at which the red en-
gine speed range begins.
The warmer the engine, the
higher the speed at which the
red engine speed range begins.
When the operating temperature
has been reached, the red en-
z
gine speed range display will no
longer change.
The upshift recommendation is
adjusted dynamically as well.
Range
The range 1 indicates how far
you can ride with the remain-
ing fuel. This distance is cal-
culated on the basis of average
consumption and the quantity of
fuel on board.
When the motorcycle is
propped on its side stand
the slight angle of inclination
means that the sensor cannot
register the fuel level correctly.
For this reason, the range is
only recalculated when the side
stand is folded in.
The range is displayed to-
gether with a warning once the
fuel reserve is reached.
After refueling, the range is re-
calculated if the fuel quantity is
greater than the fuel reserve.
The calculated range is only an
approximate figure.
Upshift recommendation
Upshift recommendation 1 sig-
nals the economically best point
in time for upshifting.
