Table 1: Rapid Resume feature behaviors
Behavior:
Feature and explanation:
Computer won't start
Feature: Rapid Resume
from diskette if Rapid
Resume is enabled.
After you turn on the computer,
press Ctrl + Alt + Delete when
you see the Rapid Resume screen.
There may be a slight delay before
the computer restarts.
Note that using Ctrl + Alt +
Delete will cause the loss of your
saved desktop. If possible, first
start your computer without the
diskette and save any unsaved
information. Then exit Windows.
After you have exited Windows,
then insert the diskette and press
Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
System unit and
Feature: Standby
monitor are on, but
nothing is displayed
This is a normal function of the

Standby feature. To exit Standby,
use any of the devices your
computer checks for activity. For
information about these checked
devices, see "Standby" on
page 24.

How Rapid Resume features change your computer's behavior
Feature and explanation:
Feature: Standby
This is a normal function of the
Blink Power Light feature. You can
turn this feature on and off only in
the Setup Utility.
Feature: Scheduler or Automatic
Power On
This is a normal function of the
Scheduler feature. You can
schedule your computer to come
on at a specific date and time.
Feature: Ring Indicator, with
Wake Up on Ring
This is a normal function of the
Wake Up on Ring feature. It
indicates that your computer
turned on to receive data, a fax, or
a voice message.
Feature: Wake Up on Ring
This is a normal function of the
Wake Up on Ring feature. You can
set up your computer to turn itself
on when the phone rings to
receive data, a fax, or a voice
message.
