HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL
This manual is an indispensible guide for learning to use the many features available on your
machine. We recommend you read the topics carefully in the order in which they are presented.
The first part "Installing Your Facsimile Machine and Getting Started Quickly" provides a brief
description of the machine, describes how to install it and how to get started straight away, using
its basic features only.
After this preliminary phase, read the second part of the manual "Getting the Best From Your
Facsimile Machine". It offers a more detailed description of the machine and its functions and
each of its sections is dedicated to a specific topic: transmission, polling, memory management,
and so on. This will help you to familiarize yourself with the machine and gain confidence in learning
the concepts, terminology and procedures that will enable you to take full advantage of your

machine's many features. References to procedures are indicated by the symbol

The third part "The procedures" describes the procedures to be followed in order to activate the
functions described in the previous sections. The procedures are described step by step and
include any messages displayed by the facsimile machine at the moment and in the order in which
they appear. The following sections explain how to eliminate any mechanical or procedural
problems that may arise, describe the maintenance operations to be performed and provide
information on the various operating modes available. The third part of the manual ends with the
section that lists the technical characteristics.
