If training with a particular remote
terminal always takes too long, the
initial modem rate may be too high.
Reduce the initial
using these bits.

the line are interfering with the set-up
protocol at the start of transmission.
The machine will then wait for the
second DIS or NSF before sending
DCS or NSS.
If transmissions to a specific
destination always end at a low
modem rate (lower than 14,400 bps),
disable V.8 protocol so that V.34
protocol will not be used.
0: V.34 communication will not be
possible.
This bit determines the capabilities
that are informed to the other
terminal during transmission.
For example, if ECM is switched on
but is not wanted when sending to a
particular terminal, use the (0, 0)
setting.
