Is self-diagnosis code 15, 16, or 42 displayed?
NO YES
Has throttle body icing occurred or is foreign
material stuck in the throttle body?
NO YES
Is the throttle switch malfunctioning?
NO YES
Is the throttle cable free play out of specification?
NO YES
Was the engine revved with the V-belt removed?
NO YES
Is the throttle position sensor, speedometer unit,
or speed sensor installed incorrectly?
NO YES
Correct the connection and/or replace the
speedometer unit and/or ECU.
IGNITION SYSTEM
T.O.R.S. OPERATES.
Check the affected item(s).
Perform throttle body maintenance.
Repair or replace the right handlebar switch.
Adjust the throttle cable free play.
Refer to "THROTTLE CABLE FREE PLAY
ADJUSTMENT" in CHAPTER 2.
When the engine is revved with the V-belt
removed, the speed sensor is diagnosed as
malfunctioning and T.O.R.S. operates.
Install correctly.
