WATER PUMP

REMOVAL

1. Remove:
• Timing mark accessing screw
• Crankshaft end accessing screw
2. Align:
• "I" mark on the AC magneto rotor
(with the stationary pointer
magneto cover)
TIP
Turn the crankshaft clockwise.
3. Remove:
• Water pump assembly

DISASSEMBLY

1. Remove:
• Impeller
• Water pump seal
TIP
Remove the water pump seal
inside of the water pump housing
2. Remove:
• Bearing
• Oil seal
TIP
Remove the bearing
the inside of the water pump housing
3. Remove:
• Rubber damper holder
• Rubber damper
(from the impeller, with a thin, flat-head
screwdriver)
TIP
Do not scratch the impeller shaft.
