Device fan

The SINAMICS DCP converter is equipped with device fans.
Fan control
The fans are switched in as required by the fan control system integrated in the device. See
function diagram 6845. For 30 KW devices, the fans operate at a fixed speed. For 120 kW
devices, the fan speed changes depending on the temperature of the power unit (heat sink).
The fans operate with 20% of their rated speed up to a heat sink temperature of 30 °C. Up to
a heat sink temperature of 70 °C, the fan speed linearly increases up to 100%. The speed of
all 3 fans is individually monitored for 120 kW devices. Fault message F60067, with fault
value 10 is output if a fan speed does not reach at least half of the setpoint.
Operating hours counter
Each device fan has an operating hours counter.
The counter reading is displayed in r55470.
Monitoring the fan service life
The planned service life is set at p55471, the factory setting is 30000 h.
Alarm A60510 is output 500 hours before the planned service life is reached.
It is recommended that the fans are replaced at the next interruption in operation.
By setting the service life to zero (p55471 = 0.0 h), the monitoring of the fan service life is
switched off.
By setting p55472 to 1, the operating hours counter is reset to 0. This should be performed
after every fan replacement.
