A.2.1
Wiring to the tripping device
Requirements
• The wiring to the upstream tripping device must be implemented through two channels
using potential-free contacts.
• A tripping device, e.g. mushroom pushbutton or a safety PLC (F-PLC) must be connected. It
is not permissible that the input terminals are jumpered.
Checking the wiring.
1. Check the wiring from the terminal strip to device connections "T1", "IN1" and "T2", "IN2" of
the safety relay. The safety relay indicates if there is a wiring fault: "Group fault, short-circuit/
cross-circuit fault at the input".
If you have correctly wired up the circuit, when the firing pulse inhibit is not activated, the
safety relay LEDs indicate "Device ready for operation, all outputs active".
2. Check signal "Firing pulse inhibit request to the Control Unit for pulse inhibit".
If the safety relay indicates state "Device ready for operation, all outputs active", then the
digital input in the control at the Control Unit must have a high signal level. After activating
the firing pulse inhibit, the input changes to the "Low" state.
