Switching on

After the device is switched on (POWER ON, i.e. switching in the 24 V power supply), the
SINAMICS DCP powers up. Starting up to operating state 7.1 in the SINAMICS DCP with
the saved parameters (i.e. saved from RAM to ROM) takes approx. 45 s. Start-up without the
saved parameters (first commissioning) takes approx. 60 s.

The status of the LEDs on the CUD (see also Chapter Description of the LEDs on the CUD
(Page 247)) can only be seen when the device cover is open.
Note
If options are being used and in the case of certain device configurations, the duration of
start-up increases.
Note
If an external memory card with previously saved data is plugged into the SINAMICS DCP
during start-up, the device ramps up based on the parameter assignments saved on the card
(see also Chapter Memory card functions (Page 113)).
