CAUTION
Never install a rear−facing child re-
straint system on the front passenger
seat with the passenger airbag off
switch in the "AUTO" position. In the
event of an accident, the force of the
rapid inflation of the front passenger
airbag can cause death or serious in-
jury to the child if the rear−facing
child restraint system is installed on
the front passenger seat.

When you install a rear−facing child re-
straint system which belongs to a pas-
senger risk group on the right front
passenger seat, turn the passenger air-
bag off switch counterclockwise to the
"OFF" position and remove the key.

in this Section.)
The indicator light comes on when the
system is off.

If you must install a rear−facing
child restraint system on the right
front passenger seat, make sure
that the front passenger airbag off
switch is in the "OFF" position with
the key removed and that the indi-
cator light is on.
