8. Install:
• Spark plug
Spark plug
12.0 Nm (1.20 m·kgf, 8.9 ft · lbf)
9. Connect:
• Spark plug cap
10. Install:
• left side cover and right side cover
• seat
Refer to "SEAT AND FENDERS".
CHECKING THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL
1. Place the machine on a level surface.
2. Start the engine, warm it up several min-
utes, and then turn it off.
3. Remove engine oil cap cover
4. Check:
• engine oil level
Oil level should be between the minimum
level mark and the maximum level mark

Low oil level → Add oil to the proper level.
TIP
• Wait a few minutes until the oil settles before
checking the oil level.
• Do not screw the dipstick
ing the oil level.
Recommended engine oil type
YAMALUBE, SAE10W-30,
SAE10W-40, SAE20W-40,
SAE20W-50 or SAE5W-30
Recommended engine oil grade
