Cause
Paper is moist.
Check if a document color is
not yellow or green.
Check if the appropriate
paper is used.
The contrast setting is not
correct.
The drum or toner cartridge
is worn out or broken.
The toner in the cartridge
is running low.
Appropriate paper is not
used.
The drum or toner cartridge
is worn out or broken.
The document glass or
document pad is dirty.
The ADF glass or document
feeder roller is dirty.
Dirt is attached on the
paper feeder route.
The drum or toner cartridge
is worn out or broken.
Paper is moist.
Appropriate paper is not

Countermeasure
Replace with new paper.
For reception, ask the
sender to change the
document to a black color.
(Copying is recommended.)
Use the paper specified in
this manual.
