Definition of Common Terms
The list of all print and copy jobs currently queued to the selected
GL-1020 controller. You can view it using either the TopAccess or
the GL-DocMon application.
In wireless networking, the rate at which data packets are
transmitted to or received from the access point.
Defines the number of times a data packet will be resent if the
initial transmission is unsuccessful.
In wireless networking, the MAC address of the access point to
which the client should connect if possible (if the client and the
DAP have the same SSID)
A TopAccessComposer system folder. The administrator can
store and work with documents in the Department folder.
Registered and unregistered users can view and print documents
in the Department folder, but cannot edit them.
Refers to the GL-1020 controller connected to a network digital
copier. Often, the term device is used to refer to the entire
controller/copier system.
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A TCP/IP protocol which
enables a network connected to the Internet to assign a
temporary IP address automatically to a host computer that
connects to the network.
Document Identification Number. You must enter this number at
the copier to release private jobs for printing.
Domain Name System server. An Internet server that translates
host names into numeric IP addresses.
The 5-digit code required to release a Private Print job for printing.
Enter the DIN from the copier's control panel.
Refers to the TopAccessComposer application, which enables
you to store, edit, manage and print scanned images using a web
interface.
A pre-defined set of driver settings that allows you to auto-
configure your print job with a click of the mouse.
