    1 INTRODUCTION Function Enhancement by Option Configurations This section provides you with the general descriptions of functions enabled with each option (the Network Printer Kit, Scanner Upgrade Kit, Fax Kit and External Keyboard). For details of the function of the Fax Kit (optional) and the External Keyboard (optional), see the Operator’s Manual for Facsimile Functions.
  • Page 15 Fax Kit / External Keyboard Transmission and reception of Fax data through public switched telephone networks are enabled. Also, the transmission/reception of the InternetFax and the onramp/offramp gateway func- tions are enabled. (These functions are available with the Scanner Upgrade Kit simulta- neously installed.) The External Keyboard (optional) is used for entering and registering the destinations of the Email and Fax.
