Continuity Check @ :
0.05 ~ 0.06_ at 20°C (68 ° F)
Insulation Check (_ :
More than 1.5M_ at 20°C (68 ° F)
• If the resistance is incorrect, replace the
starter motor.
5. Inspect:
® Bearings (_
Wear/Damage -* Replace.
o Oil seal (_
Wear/Damage -* Replace.

Minimum Brush Length:

• Brush springs
Compare with new spring.
Wear/Damage -* Replace.
Installation
1. Apply grease to the starter motor O-ring
and install the starter motor assembly.
2. Tighten:
e Bolts
_ Starter Motor: 1
7 Nm (0.7 m-kg, 5.1 ft-lb)
