IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT I ADJ
THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT

1. Check:
® Throttle cablefree play _)
Out of specification-_ Adjust.
_ Throttle Cable Free Play (_) : j
1,5 ~ 3.5 mm (0.06 _ 0.14 in)
2. Adjust:
® Throttle cablefree play
By the following adjustmentsteps.
Throttle cable free play adjustmentsteps:
® Loosenthe Iocknut _).
® Turn the adjuster _) clockwiseor counter-
clockwiseuntil proper free play isattained.
• Tighten the Iocknut.
® Measurethe throttle cablefree play.
• If the free play is incorrect, repeat above
stepsuntil the proper free play isobtained.
NOTE:
After adjusting, turn the handlebarsto right
and left and make surethat the engine idling
doesnot run faster.

iDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT
1. Remove:
® Side covers(Right/Left)
2. Start the ,engine and warm it up before
settingidle-speed.
NOTE:
A warn engine is difined asone which had been
operated for about 3 minutes at 3,000 r/rnin
with no load.
3. Attach :
® Inductive Tachometer (YU-8036) (_
4. Adjust:
® Idle speed
Turn the throttle stop screw (_ clock-
wise to increase engine speed and
counterclockwise to decrease engine
speed.
