continuously.
The secondary voltage for the
applicable system component
dler or outdoor
has fallen below 18VAC.
unit
Unit low pressure is below the
Outdoor unit
required limit.
The low-pressure switch has
opened five times during a sin
Outdoor unit
gle demand.
Critical alerts are displayed on the Home screen, in the Home
owner alert button, and in the Installer alert button. Minor and
moderate alerts are found only in the Installer alert button.
COMPONENT OR SYSTEM OPERA
TIONAL STATE AND TROU
BLESHOOTING TIP
The start current sensors look for
the presence of a minimum of
three amps current (for up to 15
seconds) on the run and start
windings of the compressor while
there is a Y1 signal. If no current
is sensed with the Y1 signal still
present, the control will cycle the
Y1 demand, which will cycle com
pressor OFF.
Check wiring at outdoor control
and compressor amperage.
NOTE: This alert code is applica
ble only to first-generation out
door unit that had current sen
sors.

Welded contacts
Replace compressor contactor.
Confirm 24VAC power to contact
or.
Verify all wiring connections are
tight to contactor terminals.
Secondary voltage is below
18VAC.
If this continues for 10 minutes,
the thermostat will turn off the ap
plicable system component.
Check operating pressures.
Low pressure switch opens at 40
psig (system shuts down) and
closes at 90 psig (system
restarts).
Thermostat will shut down the
outdoor unit.
Open low pressure switch error
count reached five strikes.
Check system charge using ap
proach and sub cooling tempera
tures.
Reset by putting outdoor unit con
trol in test mode or resetting low
voltage power.

HOW TO CLEAR
ALERT CODE
Automatically clears
after current is sensed
in START sensor, or
after power reset.
Automatically clears
after current is sensed
in RUN sensor, one
normal compressor
run cycle, or after pow
er reset
Automatically clears
after one normal com
pressor run cycle or
after power reset.
Automatically clears
after voltage is detect
ed as higher than
20VAC for two sec
onds or after power re
set.
Automatically clears
when the system de
tects that the issue no
longer exists.
