To raise or lower the receive
level volume
of the handset

To put a call on hold while
you answer another call, make
a call, or perform some other
task
To answer a new call while
active on another
To return to held call

While handset is off-hook, press the Volume control button
To raise the volume, press the right half of the Volume
control button labeled
to lower the volume, press the left half of the Volume
control button labeled
If your 8411 voice terminal has a display, it shows:
HANDSET
(There are eight possible volume settings. On the display,
one arrow is the lowest setting, and eight arrows is the
highest setting.)

Green light next to held call flutters
Note: If you put a conference call on hold, the other parties
remain connected.
