Mid-Mounting the Chassis In the Rack

The chassis may also be installed in the rack using mid-mount flanges. To mid-mount the chassis in a rack,
follow the steps below.

If applicable, remove the factory-installed front mounting plate and slot rails from the side of the
chassis by loosening and removing the attachment screws.

Install the individual mounting brackets at the midpoint of the chassis using the four threaded holes on
each side.

Mark the holes on the rack where the chassis is to be installed.

One person should lift and position the chassis until the mid-mount flanges are flush with the rack post.

Align the holes in the flanges with the rack holes marked in step 3.
