Attaching a Scanner

To attach a wand or laser scanner to a Series 3300, do the following:

This attachment procedure is not approved for and should not be performed in
potentially hazardous environments.
1. Turn the system off.
2. Find the rubber boot (provided with the 3300) with two connector access
holes. Slip the larger hole of the rubber boot over the scanner's DE-9 connec-
tor (Figure 3-1).
3. Remove the rubber cover from the top of the 3300 and attach the DE-9 plug.
Slide the rubber boot down over the connector plug and ensure it is firmly
seated to create a watertight seal (Figure 3-2).
