Installing a fan
block in the C1200

Individual chassis fans cannot be removed and replaced in the chassis fan block
of the C1200; the entire fan block must be removed and replaced.
To remove a chassis fan block from the C1200, complete the following steps,
using the figure in
"Removing a chassis fan from the
reference.

Open the appliance, as described in
page 65.

Remove the "L" shaped air baffle by pulling up and lifting out.
3
Unplug the fan power cable from the motherboard.
4
Press the tab on the end of the fan block to release it from the chassis
slot.
5
Lift the fan block from the chassis.
To install a chassis fan block in the C1200, complete the following steps.

Action
1
Slide the "L" shaped foot on the fan block into the chassis slot near
the chassis sidewall.

Lower the fan block to the chassis floor. Ensure that it is seated
between the raised guides and not on top of them.
3
Press down on the opposite end of the fan block until the tab fits into
the chassis slot.
4
Plug the power cable into the system fan connector on the
motherboard.
5
Install the air baffle.
