Chapter 4: Powering on the NetCache appliance
You can configure the appliances:
Through the console or through the front bezel buttons on the C2100
Through the console only on the C1200
You need to supply the following configuration information when you first boot
your appliance:
IP address for the default network interface
Netmask for the network interface
IP address for the default gateway
Note
If your network has a DHCP server, which was preconfigured to supply
information to your appliance, these values might be supplied. All you need to do
is confirm the displayed values.
After you bring up the system, you need to complete the configuration through
the Web interface. See the Quick Setup Guide for information about completing
system configuration.
To configure the appliance using the ASCII console, complete the following
steps.

Apply power to the system and boot it to the first series of
configuration questions.

If you do not enter any information on the console, the system
attempts to boot with default data.
