Step Action
6 Connect the system to the power source, then press the Power button
on the front panel to reboot the system. The green power LED is lit
when the power is on.
Result: The system boots, then displays the following prompt:
Press Ctrl-C for special boot menu
7 Press Ctrl-C on your keyboard and select 4 from the following menu:
Result: The console displays the following menu:
1) Normal Boot
2) Boot without starting system devices
3) Change Password
4) Initialize all disks
5) Maintenance mode boot
Selection (1-5)?
8 Enter to the following questions, to begin initialization.
Y
Zero disks and install a new file system?
This will erase all the data on the disks, are you sure?
9 Reinstall the NetCache software, as described in the NetCache
Administration Guide.
