Charging Battery
* Remove the battery from machine before charging.
* Keep flames and flammable material away from battery to avoid fire caused by
hydrogen gas.
* Do not charge the battery when the battery electrolyte level is lower than the
"LOWER LEVEL" line to reduce risk of explosion.
* Clean the battery with wet cloth. Avoid using dry cloth to prevent static
electricity from causing an explosion.
* Immediately wash away any battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) contacting
clothing or skin with plentiful water. Immediately wash eyes with water if
electrolyte enters eyes and call a doctor.
* Follow instructions in the manual of the battery to be used.
* When disconnecting the battery terminals, always disconnect the negative (-)
battery terminal first. When connecting the battery terminals, always connect
the positive (+) terminal first. Avoid placing metallic tools between the machine
and the positive terminal to prevent short circuits.
* Correctly identify terminals when connecting the terminals to the battery.
Connect terminals so battery cables do not contact machine parts.
* Charge battery if necessary with normal charging method after finishing
operations. Use quick charging (with heavy inrush current) only for emergency
charging to avoid shortening battery life.
