* Always stop the engine and turn the main switch to "OFF" before performing
maintenance.

Inspecting Battery Electrolyte and Adding Water

* Keep flames and flammable material away from battery.
* Stop using battery when the electrolyte level is below the lower limit to avoid
shortening battery life and reduce risk of explosion.
* Clean battery with wet cloth. Avoid using dry cloth, to prevent static electricity
from causing an explosion.
* Immediately wash away any battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) contacting
clothing or skin with plentiful water. Immediately wash eyes with water if
electrolyte enters eyes and call a doctor.
* When adding water to the battery, avoid exceeding upper limit level when
adding water to battery to prevent spilling and overflow which may damage
painted surfaces and corrode parts.

1. Park the machine on level ground.
2. Check the battery electrolyte level visually. If
the electrolyte is low, add water to the battery.
* Proper battery electrolyte level: between
upper and lower reference lines
* Add only distilled water to battery
