chart. Follow steps while

2002 Buell X1: Fuel System
Connect Scanalyzer (HD-41325) if available or attach ECM to Break-
1
out Box (HD-42682). Plug DVOM into Pin 2 (+) and Pin 7 (-) of Brea-
kout Box connector [11]. With ignition ON, gradually open throttle
while observing voltage. Does voltage steadily increase with no
spikes or low voltages observed from 0.5-1.5 volts at idle (closed
throttle) to 3.9-4.9 volts at wide open throttle?

Reconnect TP sensor
connector [88]. Measure
TP sensor voltage at
wide open throttle. Is
voltage greater than
5.0 volts?
YES
Locate and repair short
between R/W wire and
battery voltage.
