SnapServer GuardianOS 7.2 Administrator's Guide

Using the SnapServer Manager

SnapServer Manager (SSM) is a Java-based, platform-independent, multiserver
administrative application that runs on all major platforms. SSM provides a single interface
from which administrators can discover, configure, and monitor all GuardianOS
SnapServers on their network. With SSM, administrators can compare, copy, and configure
settings for groups of GuardianOS SnapServers in a single operation.

SnapServer Manager Installation

You can download and install SSM by navigating to the Overland Storage NAS website and
downloading the
platforms, including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and UNIX.

Launch SnapServer Manager

Launch SSM using one of the methods described in the following table:
Operating System
Microsoft Windows
XP/2003/Vista/2008/7
Mac OS v10.5 or higher
UNIX/Linux

SnapServer Manager Help

For detailed information on SSM, select Help > Help Topics from within the application.

Start . Point to Programs (or All Programs ) >

Manager , then select SnapServer
Manager .
Open the SnapServer Manager folder and double-click
Manager icon.

./Snap_Server_Manager
If you selected not to create links,
then
to the SnapServer Manager directory, and run
cd
the SnapServer Manager command:
./Snap_Server_Manager
