IGNITION SYSTEM
SYSTEM INSPECTION
Disconnect the ICM 6P connector, and check it for loose
contact or corroded terminals.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Measure the voltage between connector terminals (wire
harness side) as follows:

Green should exist
ground should exist
Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
IGNITION TIMING
If the engine must be running to do some work, make
sure the area is well-ventilated. Never run the engine
in an enclosed area.
The exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas
that may cause loss of consciousness and may lead to
death.
NOTE:
Read the instruction for timing light operating.
Warm up the engine.
Stop the engine and remove the timing hole cap.
Connect the timing light to the spark plug wire.
Start the engine and let it idle.
