To Configure the DAU as Slave Unit for Network Operation:

1. Set the RS232 port for network operation.

2. Select the Audio Control Unit type: 4x4 ACU or 8x8 ACU.

The ACU type must match the system build's hardware configuration.
3. Set the Slave Unit Network ID.
The Network ID is used by the system to differentiate between different Slave Units in the network.

Possible Network Ids:
Slave Units must be physically located in the same order as their Network Ids, i.e., the
Network Id is the physical position in which the Slave Unit appears on the ring. There can
be no gaps in Slave Id numbering.
4. Set the number of Network Audio Channels to be as required.
The number of network audio channels must match the system build's hardware
configuration. Both hardware and software default number of network channels is 3.

5. Check that the corresponding Mic/Line inputs are configured as Network Channels according to the
number of channels set in the previous step.

Note that if reducing the number of network channels from a network configuration with more channels,
then the Mic/Line inputs which are no longer used as Network Channel should have surveillance tone
disabled and Mic/Line type set to 'Unused', as described in Section

1 to 30.
