VAR8 Menu Description
Configures a Remote I/O Unit Digital Input for Routing, i.e. the contact is
activated to trigger a route connecting any combination of inputs to outputs. The
outputs in question are the Slave Unit outputs, the inputs may be either Slave
Unit audio sources, or Audio Control Unit DVAs.
Having chosen this option the sub-menus 'Zoning' (item 139), 'Control' (item
140), and 'Clear-all' (item 141) are displayed.
Other options available:
• Not-Conf
Contact is not configured.
• External Fault
When the contact is activated, a fault is logged by the router. Sub-menu 'Desc'
is displayed when External Fault is selected for a contact.
• Reset Contact
The contact may also be used to clear a route (reset) triggered by another
contact. It is configured in the 'Latching' sub-menu, see item 152.

Access to the button configuration functions which allows the button to be
configured as one of:
• Not-Conf
• Mic Routing
• DVA Routing (only if microphone is connected to inputs 1 or 2).
• AllCall
• Play DVA
• Cancel-all-DVAs
• Reset Route

'Not-Conf'
Buttons is not available for Miscellaneous, Music and Mute inputs.
Note that for Single Button Microphone the PROTOCOL menu option is
displayed instead of Buttons. Having chosen this option the 'PTT Zones'
sub-menu is displayed, which allows the user to define which to which
outputs a route is made when PTT button is pressed.
Access to the audio parameter configuration.
Audio is not available for Mute input.
Access to priority, microphone classification, and phantom power configuration.
Ctrl is not available for Network Channel and Mute inputs.
Enables the user to view/edit the microphone name. For reference only.
Possible values: alphanumeric string of up to 12 characters
Default value:
MIC/LINE nn
Where nn is the input number.
Name is not available for Mute input.
Enables the user to set the selected Remote I/O Unit Analogue Input to unused.
The currently selected option is displayed in upper-case letters.
