    A “Declaration of Conformity” statement to the above Directives, listing the applicable harmonised standards to which the equipment conforms, is available on request. The WMC01 is assessed for safety as suitable for pollution degree 2 environments. Failure to use the equipment in the manner described in the product literature will invalidate the warranty.

    The WMC01 Wall Mount Controller provides control of audio source selection and broadcast level within a VIPEDIA-12 system. The WMC01 is typically installed in restaurants, meeting rooms and hotel lobbies to allow users to select from a list of different music channels and to adjust the volume.

Environmental The temperature and humidity ranges shown in the specifications for this equipment must not be exceeded. This equipment must not be installed in an area that is subject to a corrosive atmosphere.

    Lift the back box. Make note of the unit’s MAC address (A). The MAC address is used for the configuration of a WMC01 connected via Ethernet. Set the power supply links as required (B). Ensure the DIP switches are set as required (C).
  • Page 7 WMC01 – Installation Guide Prepare the wall recess according to the dimensions detailed on the right. Note location of cable entry and mounting holes. Mount the back box into the recess, ensuring that the top/bottom orientation of the back box is correct.

    Serially connected WMC01 (RS485): Check ROUTER 2 port is connected to the correct port of the host VIPEDIA-12 unit. If the WMC01 displays “HOST COMMS LOST”, connect ROUTER 1 port to the correct port of the host VIPEDIA-12 unit. IP connected WMC01 (Ethernet): Check the WMC01 unit is in the same network as the host VIPEDIA-12.

    (0 dB - 50 dB). The WMC01 is automatically configured by the host VIPEDIA-12 during configuration load using the PAVA System Configuration Tool (PAVA SCT). The configuration menu is only accessible with appropriate DIP switch setting; see “Installation” (page 2).

  • Page 11  ROUTER 1 port: Note that ROUTER 1 port may be required the first time the serial WMC01 is commissioned. Once commissioned using the PAVA System Configuration Tool, connection should be changed to ROUTER 2 port. ROUTER 2 port is used for connection to the VIPEDIA-12 as standard.
