For transportation in a wheelchair accessible vehicle, the rehab buggy must be secured with tie-down straps as fol­
lows:
1) In the direction of travel, slide the product approximately in the middle between or over the perforated rails
anchored on the bottom of the vehicle and secure it with the wheel lock.
2) Check that the belt system in the vehicle matches the lashing points installed on the product.
3) Attach the tie-down straps mounted on the bottom of the vehicle to the lashing points on the product (see
Fig. 101; front: item 1, rear: item 2):
→ Front: engage the hooks in the lashing points from the inside to the outside (see Fig. 110, item 1).
→ Rear: engage the hooks in the lashing points from the inside or the outside (see Fig. 111, item 1).
4) Firmly tighten the tie-down straps in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. The maximum angle of
the front tie-down-straps is 45° (see Fig. 112).
5) Fold the push handle down to provide additional stability for the seating system (see Fig. 112, item 1).
6) For "swiveling" front wheel option only: turn the caster wheels to face forwards for improved stability (see
Fig. 112).
7) Remove all prohibited components from the product (see Page 44).
8) Adjust the suspension to "firm" (see Page 22).
→ The tie-down straps are correctly attached (see Fig. 112).
