When using the Kimba Cross with rigidly mounted or with swivelling front wheel: • Get to know in particular how the Kimba Cross with your seating system reacts when the center of gravity is shifted; for example on slopes or inclines or when clearing obstacles, like steps and curbs.

• When your child reaches for objects in front, to the side or behind the Kimba Cross, make sure that he or she does not lean out of it too far, since the shift in the center of gravity might cause the Kimba Cross to tilt or tip over.
Important: Make sure the axle is properly engaged and has enough clamping pressure! The clamping pressure can be adjusted by turning the quick-release lever or the counternut. • To fold the Kimba Cross together, please reverse the directions mentioned above. Outdoor Mobility Base...
The Kimba Cross mobility base is designed as a modular assembly system, which means that certain accessories may be adapted to it. The following options and accessories may make it easier to use your Kimba Cross mobility base (Fig. 18).
Reflectors: Attach the two red reflectors with the tube clamps to the rear crosstube (Fig. 33). (As an alternative to a second red reflector a combination of rear light plus reflector may be included with the Kimba Cross.) Attach the two white reflectors at the front of the Kimba Cross to the deflector angles using adhesive tape (Fig.
Then open the cam-lock buckles at the lower end of the pad (Fig. 52, item B), pull out the straps, and position them on the sides of the seat. Place the child in the Kimba Cross and pull the chest and shoulder pad over the child’s head onto his or her chest.
To ensure the correct fit, make sure that the straps are not touching the child and that the reinforced edge of the pad is not in contact with the strap guide slot. The pad will provide the best upper-body support when the strap guide slot is approx. 2-3 cm above the child’s shoulder.
Slipsacks (Fig. 67) Place the summer, winter or sheepskin slipsack in the Kimba Cross. Tie the straps to the lower back section and tie the upper straps to the frame of the back insert. If using an abductor or belts, make a cut in the corresponding synthetic leather strips using a sharp blade.
• Check the tightness of all screw connections on a regular basis. • After any adjustments, snugly re-tighten the screws that have been loosened. • We recommend that you have your Kimba Cross – when used on a normal basis – checked once a year by a Reha- bilitation Technology Specialist.
