1.5 Memory Chip Replacement

The telephone entry system is shipped with the memory chips already installed in the unit.
replace the memory chips (to match an older unit, for example), follow the instructions below. See 3.1.3 Memory Chip Identifi-
cation for information about the memory chips in the telephone entry system.
DO NOT
install the memory chips with power to the telephone entry system turned ON. Attempting to install the memory
chips with power on will irrevocably damage the chips. Memory chips are a static sensitive component. Discharge any static
electricity from your hands by touching a proper ground device before touching the control board. Handle the memory chips
with care, the pins bend easily.
DO NOT
install the memory chips UPSIDE DOWN. this will cause permanent damage to the chips. Be sure that the memory
chips are seated correctly in the sockets.
Discharge any static electricity from your hands by touching a proper ground device before installing chips!
