Backlap Switches

Removal (Figs. 68 and 69)
1. Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting units,
stop engine and engage parking brake. Remove key
from ignition switch.
2. Tilt operator seat up to gain access to hydraulic mow
control manifold.
3. Locate the backlap switch on the mow control man-
ifold that is to be replaced (Fig. 68).
4. Disconnect the wire harness electrical connector
from the backlap switch that is to be removed.
5. Loosen and remove backlap switch from hydraulic
manifold. Remove and discard o--ring.
Installation (Figs. 68 and 69)
1. Make sure that dowel pin and ball are placed in man-
ifold port as shown in Figure 69.
2. Install backlap switch with new o--ring into manifold
port and torque to 15 ft- -lb (20 N- -m).
3. Connect harness electrical connector to the backlap
switch. Use the Diagnostic Display to verify that backlap
switches are functioning correctly.
4. Lower operator seat.
