Put key to "on" position without starting the truck.

Raise the body until both safety props can move freely.

Body can be raised by pushing the hoist joystick forward (see Figure 2-6) and holding it until
body reaches the desired height.
Put one of the safety props back in its place. Use its latch to secure it (see Figure 2-7).

Put the other safety prop back in its place. Use its latch to secure it.

Lower the body by pulling back the hoist joystick (see Figure 2-6) and holding it until the body

rests on the chassis frame.
Tailgate Safety Prop
The tailgate safety prop is used to support and keep the tailgate open during inspection or
maintenance procedures. It is mandatory to set the safety prop every time the tailgate is open for such
purposes.
Make sure that the body is empty before installing safety props.

Setting the Tailgate Safety Prop
To set the tailgate safety prop:
Make sure that the body is empty.

Remove the tailgate-locking mechanism safety pins.
