Introduction

The purpose of this manual is to introduce operators
to the operational procedures of the W
loader garbage truck. For information regarding
maintenance procedures, refer to the related W
Maintenance Manual.

Introducing the W

W ™ units are front-load refuse collection vehicles

ITTKE

used to pick up residential or commercial dumpsters.
Once the body is full, all its content is unloaded at a
waste management landfill or other appropriate site
(e.g. transfer station, incinerator, recycling station).
These vehicles are designed to be operated by only one
person at a time, and they use a series of hydraulic,
pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems to
perform their work routine.

Product Overview

W ™ units are equipped with a set of swing arms
ITTKE
and forks to perform collection of industrial and
commercial waste. Some trucks can be supplied with a
carry can equipped with either a tipper or an
automated arm to perform residential collection.

Body's main components are the hopper (see Figure
1-2), the packer (see Figure 1-2), the tailgate
(see Figure 1-3), and the swing arms and forks
(see Figure 1-3).
