Thermostat inspection

1. Measure:
9 Valve operating temperature

Out of specification ® Replace the
thermostat
Water temperature
Below
58 ~ 62°C (136.4 ~ 143.6°F)
Above
70°C (158°F)
Measuring steps:
8 Suspend the thermostat in a contain-
er filled with water.
8 Slowly heat the water.
8 Place a thermometer in the water.
8 While stirring the water, observe the
thermometer's indicated tempera-
ture.

Anode inspection

1. Inspect:
9 Anode
Refer to the "ANODE" in chapter 3.
