The ignition switch is located on the dash.
ACC
The switch has four positions:
Ace -For operating accessories only.
Off -Turns off engine and accessories.
On -For normal operation after engine has been started.
Start -Used only when starting engine. When released, switch returns
to "on".
NOTICE:
Do not park your vehicle over combustible materials, such as
grass or leaves. They could touch the hot exhaust system and ignite.
Parking
When leaving your truck unattended:

Firmly apply the parking brake first. (See note on page
Do not use the transmission as a substitute for the parking brake.

Place the automatic transmission shift lever in "Park" ("Reverse"
for manual transmission).
•
Be sure the transfer case is in gear to help keep the truck from
rolling. (Four-wheel drive trucks o�ly.)

Turn the key to "Lock." For vehicles with floor-shift manual
transmission, press down the key release lever and turn the key
to Lock.
•
Remove the key.
•
Close all windows and lock all doors.

Turn Signal Lever

The turn signal lever is on the left side of the steering column.
•
TU R N SIGNAL - Move the lever up to the second stop to signal
a right turn. Move it down to the second stop to signal a left turn.
When the turn is completed, the signal will cancel and the lever
will return to horizontal.

LANE CHANGE SIGNAL - In some turns, such as changing
lanes, the steering wheel is not turned far enough to cancel the
turn signal. You can flash the turn signal by moving the lever part
way (to the first stop) and holding it there. The lever will return
to horizontal when you release it.
A green light on the instrument panel flashes to tell you that the front
and rear turn signal lights are working. If the light stays on, but does
not flash, check for burned out bulbs. If the green light does not light
when the lever is moved, check the fuse and indicator bulb.
